Drag superstar RuPaul has criticized a billboard featuring US President Donald Trump between two nuclear bombs and swastikas shaped to look like dollar symbols. He also sports a Russian flag badge on his lapel.
‘STOP trying to shame him,’ RuPaul wrote on Twitter
‘You cannot shame the shameless.
‘Way past (the) time for a different approach. #FollowTheMoney.’

That billboard though
The billboard he referred to went up in March last year in Phoenix, Arizona and has been vandalized multiple times.
Phoenix based gallery La Melgosa commissioned artist Karen Fiorito to create the billboard. It wanted to protest Trump’s immigration policies.
Despite receiving death threats Fiorito and La Melgosa have refused to take the billboard down.
‘I’ve been called a communist, a Satan worshiper,’ Fiorito told the AZ Central last year.
‘I’ve been told I’m a “very, very sick person”.
‘I haven’t been answering the phone. My husband has because he’s not afraid to talk to anyone, but he told me he received a couple death threats this morning. … He said, “They were coming to get us with their boys”.’
RuPaul has been a vocal critic of the Trump administration, saying the government was no longer about ‘acceptance and inclusion, about open hearts and open minds’.
‘I believe television, movies, music, the arts have taken up the slack, as they always do,’ he said in August last year.
