RuPaul to release third Christmas album in October

RuPaul has confirmed a new Christmas album is in the works.

In fact, the drag icon has just completed recording the new holiday record, it’s been revealed.

As such, fans won’t have to wait long to hear it – it’s out in October.

‘Debuts in October!’

The RPDR judge confirmed the news on Instagram, saying in a caption: ‘Finished recording my 3rd Christmas album. Debuts in October!’

The record will be Ru’s third holiday album. Previous specials were 1997’s Ho Ho Ho and also 2015’s Slay Belles. We can’t wait to find out what he calls this one…

Ru covered holidays standards such as Santa Baby and Deck the Halls across the two records.

RuPaul of course boasts a discography rich in non-holiday records, too. In fact, Ru’s released an amazing 11 studio albums since 1992. These include 2015’s Realness plus 2011’s Glamazon.

Meanwhile, Ru’s most famous songs are arguably Sissy That Walk  from 2014 and Supermodel (You Better Work) from 1992.

Earlier this week, it was furthermore revealed that Ru is to be among the presenters at the upcoming Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
