Ariana Grande is being blamed by sick trolls for the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller.
The rapper, 26, died of an apparent overdose yesterday (Friday 7 September). Reports say authorities found him at his home in San Fernando Valley.
While many fans have been sending the God is a Woman singer their best wishes, a mass of trolls flooded her Instagram with comments blaming her for the star’s death. So much so, that the singer has now disabled comments on her Instagram.

Many of of them saying ‘this is your fault’ and ‘I hope you’re happy with Pete’, referring to her fiancé, Pete Davidson.
Ariana and Miller dated for over two years, but split early this May.

However, people have been quick to give their condolences to the singer – and defend her from trolls.
Influencer Kaylen Zahara said: ‘I feel for Ariana Grande right now. When you leave someone you love for your own betterment you fear things like this happening. I wouldn’t wish that on any woman. I pray she doesn’t internalize any guilt or regret. I genuinely mean that.’

Ariana Grande met Mac Miller in 2012. Since then, they have collaborated on several songs. They also performed together at the One Love Manchester concert in 2017.
The ‘toxic relationship’
The 25-year-old singer spoke out about ending their ‘toxic’ relationship. After a fan put implicit blame on her for Mac Miller totalling his car after drinking under the influence, Ariana revealed all.

She said: ‘how absurd that you minimise female self-respect and self-worth by saying someone should stay in a toxic relationship because he wrote an album about them, which by the way isn’t the case (just Cinderella is about me).
‘I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel they need to be. I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety and prayed for his balance for years (and always will of course) but shaming/blaming women for a man’s inability to keep it together is a very major problem.
‘Let’s please stop doing that. Of course I didn’t share about how hard or scary it was while it was happening but it was. I will continue to pray from the bottom of my heart that he figures it all out and that any other woman in this position does as well.’
