Sparkle Weekend is the UK’s largest celebration of the transgender community, held every year.
Now celebrating its 14th year, it’s a celebration over two days of fun in the Manchester sun.
There’s a Miss Sparkle competition, market stalls and a whole variety of amazing trans performers in the park.
Sparkle Weekend also hosts the Sparkle Ball, complete with a cocktail bar, three-course meal and evening of non-stop dancing.

Jacqui Priest is the current chair of Greater Manchester Police’s Pride Network. She took to Twitter for an important message about staying safe on the day.
She said: ‘Hate crime is totally unacceptable and if you’re a victim or a witness, please report it to us.’
Allie Crewe, photographer and trans ally, went down to the first day of festivities yesterday (7 July) to snap the fabulous day in action.
Allie Crewe also just announced her first solo exhibition of photographic portraits, with incredible transgender portraits.
Entitled You Brought Your Own Light, Crewe will host a nine-week exhibition at Manchester Central Library from 27 July.
You can see her full portfolio on her website or via Facebook or Instagram.
