Picture this: Steve Coogan as an actor, married to a sexy, bearded Paul Rudd.
That’s precisely what the upcoming movie Ideal Home features and it looks just as good as it sounds.
Director Andrew Fleming wrote the script, which tells the story of Erasmus (Coogan) and Paul (Rudd), a squabbling couple whose lives are turned upside down when Erasmus’ grandson he didn’t know existed turns up on their doorstep.
Fortitude International’s Nadine De Barros, who sold the rights at Berlin Film Festival, described the film as an ‘endearing and hilarious script about modern family’.

From the trailer alone, Coogan and Rudd made a great, affable pair. And despite the squabbling, it also looks like the movie’s going to have a lot of charm and heart too.
The film initially premiered at the Mardi Gras Film Festival in February. It hits theaters later this year.
