Stockholm challenges ‘lovers, haters and hesitaters’ to experience the city for Europride 2018

Written by gaytourism

Stockholm is arguably the gay capital of Scandinavia. Diversity, inclusion, and particularly the LGBTI community has been top of the agenda for the city for a very long time. Next week, Stockholm hosts the opening of Europride 2018 for the third time in three decades.

And just in time for that, the city has produced an open letter inviting lovers, haters and hesitaters to experience the city for themselves and revel in its diversity.

The open letter is the their way of welcoming the global public to a city built on the idea of an inclusive and open society, with democracy at its core.

Stockholm is a city unique in its approach to openness and accessibility. The Swedish capital, situated on 14-small islands, is famous for its colorful LGBT community.

However, beyond sexuality, the city stands out internationally for its progressive values and is proud to be a city for all, no matter where you come from or who you love.

Stockholm is also proud to boast a collection of hotels, restaurants and attractions who are passionate about welcoming LGBT+ travelers. The new initiative Stockholm LGBT works in tandem with the ‘Open City’ campaign to show just how welcoming the capital is.
