Police released surveillance images Friday of a suspect who punched a subway rider in the face after hurling anti-LGBTQ remarks at him before fleeing when the train pulled into a Manhattan subway station.
The 29-year-old victim told police he was on a northbound A train when he was attacked around 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17. His attacker fled the subway car when the train pulled into the 59th St. – Columbus Circle station, cops said.
Medics took the victim to Columbia University Irving Medical Center for treatment, cops said.
Police released surveillance images of the suspect recorded in the subway station.
The attack is being investigated by the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Taskforce, they said.
