Superstar George Michael committed suicide says lover

Written by gaytourism

Superstar George Michael committed suicide on Christmas Eve 2016 rather than having died of natural causes on Christmas Day. That’s according to sensational claims made by the star’s lover Fadi Fawas.

He says George took his own life on Christmas Eve – his mother’s birthday – and lay dead for 24 hours, before Fawas discovered him.

Tragic loss: George Michael was a global superstar.

The British singer’s death is recorded as being on Christmas Day and was put down to natural causes. However, in a series of emails, Fawas sensationally claims George took his own life on the fifth attempt.

The Sun newspaper claims to have seen emails written by the 45 year-old unemployed hairdresser. According to the paper, he wrote: ‘I’m sick and tired of people asking me what happened on Christmas Day.’

He also links the star’s suicide to his mother’s birthday, which was Christmas Eve. The paper said Fawas also wrote: ’Well let me tell you, George died on his mother’s birthday, so that might answer a few questions.’

The emails go on to say: ’Not to mention it took five attempts to manage to end his life. I think it’s important for the story.’

George Michael’s mum Lesley Harrison was born on December 24, 1938, and died in 1997 after battling cancer.

Unemployed hairdresser Fadi had previously said he found the singer’s body at home in Goring, Oxon, at lunchtime on Christmas Day.

The newspaper notes that in March 2017 senior coroner Darren Salter said George died of natural causes and had dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver.

No time of death was ever set out by police or the coroner. The results of a post mortem and toxicology tests have also never been made public.

George Michael rose to fame in the 80s as part of pop duo WHAM! However, the star went on to enjoy a phenomenal solo career that made him a global superstar.

He famously came out as gay following an incident in a Beverly Hills public toilet in 1998. An undercover police officer had witnessed George perform a sex act. The star was fined and handed a community service order.

George also suffered a lot of loss which led him into a state of depression. His first lover, Anselmo Feleppa, died from a brain haemorrhage related to his being HIV+. The Sun reported that both George’s uncle and grandfather also committed suicide.

A spokeswoman for George Michael’s estate last night said she had ‘no trust’ in Fadi’s claims, the paper said.
