Team LGBTQ in 19th place in medal count at the Paris Paralympics

LGBTQ athletes are scoring medals at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris.

Team LGBTQ has so far won 10 medals at the Paralympics. At the Tokyo Paralympics three years ago, the group of out LGBTQ athletes won a total of 25 medals.

Team LGBTQ is currently in 19th place for overall total medals. However, the collective group of athletes is in 10th place with the more-traditional method of counting Olympic and Paralympic medal standing, starting with total number of gold medals (5), then silver then bronze.

France’s para cycler Marie Patouillet leads the out LGBTQ athletes with two medals — a gold and a silver — at these Paris Paralympics, in her home country.
