Adrian De Berardinis (better known as The Bear-Naked Chef) wants to go cruising and get your ‘hands a little dirty’.

The world-famous chef made headlines in 2015 when he uploaded his first YouTube video, dressed in nothing but an apron.

Now he’s bringing his assets to the kitchen onboard Open Sea Cruises later this year.

Starting in Barcelona on 29 September, the cruise glides through Ajaccio and Toulon in France, Palamós in Spain and then throws a massive two-day farewell party in Ibiza.

Berardinis will be offering five cooking lessons over the weeklong cruise.

So what can you expect from one of the Bear-Naked Chef‘s cooking classes?

Well, he told Gay Star News: ‘I will be offering an array of Mediterranean recipes that guests can have fun with, get their hands a little dirty, and create something delicious with me.’

‘I make my classes fun, entertaining, and most of all, I get everyone involved so no one feels left out,’ he said.

Berardinis will offer five varied classes for the cruise and says the Mediterranean is actually where ‘the soul’ of his cooking is from.

He said: ‘This is going to be an experience of a lifetime. I can’t wait to share it with my LGBTQ family.’

‘Clothing is optional,’ he joked. ‘Just kidding! Clothing will be mandatory – cruise kitchen rules.’

RuPaul DJ set in Ibiza

Open Sea Cruises also just announced superstar RuPaul as the headlining DJ for the week-long cruise extravaganza.

RuPaul will be spinning the decks in Ibiza, while you sip cocktails in front of a beautiful sunset backdrop.

It’s an eight day/seven night cruise with loads of on-board entertainment and excursions on land.

The other entertainment includes Eurovision winners Conchita and Loreen, as well as the Vengaboys and Icona Pop. There are also fabulously-themed nights like a sexy cabaret night, a huge Eurovison party, a 90s night and an Extravaganza night.

The UK’s famous Sink the Pink is hosting the Extravaganza night, which promises to be a wild ride.

Open Sea Cruises is established between Dreamlines – the largest cruise tour operator in Europe – and Axel Hotels – the leader in LGBTQ tourism.

President of Axel, Juan Juliá, said: ‘We wanted to cover a spectrum of ages within the cruise and cover the entire definition of LGTBQ. To this end, the range of activities on board, both day and night, are much broader and more varied than any other cruise.’

He said it’s aimed at the LGBTQ community, but open to everyone.

Juliá continued: ‘Personally, what I am most passionate about is the development of the product.

‘Although there are other similar products on the market, we are creating a totally different experience,’ he said.

‘It’s a one-of-a-kind experience’

Another major partner of Open Sea Cruises is misterb&b. It was created in 2014 as an alternative for LGBTQ hosts and guests to connect around the world.

CEO of misterb&b Matthieu Jost said they will offer ‘shore excursions crafted with local gay guides.’

Cruise-goers will also be able to experience local gay life in inexpensive misterb&b properties in surrounding areas.

Jost continued: ‘We recently launched misterb&b Experiences – a program that allows you to share your passion with the gay world.

‘Fitness coaching, cooking classes, performing arts workshops, city tours, beauty treatments – misterb&b doesn’t only provide homestays but real-life experiences. Learn about local culture with local people and create lifelong memories,’ he said.

Jost says Open Sea Cruises are like having an off-shore week-long Pride event.

He added: ‘All the lucky passengers of the cruise will truly live a one-of-a-kind experience.’
