The Spice Girls are set to reunite for a TV special – and an album.
Mel C has reportedly been the driving force behind the band getting back together, and giving us all what we really, really want.
She has even been able to convince Victoria Beckham – Posh Spice herself – to get on board.
It seems that the other band members have forgiven Victoria for saying that the Spice Girls looked like “five men in drag” at the height of their fame just two months ago.
The iconic singers’ old bonds were strengthened by Mel B’s difficult divorce proceedings, according to The Sun.
Geri Halliwell – Ginger Spice herself – is also reported to have helped indirectly, with the birth of her son Monty providing a uniting source of joy.
Earlier this year, Geri Horner finally apologised for leaving the Spice Girls.
It was 19 years ago when she turned her back on the band.
The Spice Girls were midway through their world tour when the news broke, throwing everyone into a state of confusion.
In response to a fan account which pointed out it was the anniversary of this heartbreaking event, Geri tweeted: “I’m sorry about that …💔, everything works out in the end 🌈 , that’s what my mum says! X”
In June, Geri performed her first single for 12 years, dedicating it to her late friend George Michael.
Mel C also paid tribute to the star in an exclusive interview with PinkNews in August.
She said: “I’d met him a few times, and I still feel very emotional about it.
“I was devastated.”
She also said the artist she’d like to collaborate with on a track would be Sia, calling the out bisexual singer a great role model.
“I love her – obviously, there are so many fantastic female artists, but there are probably not that many who I consider to be great role models”.
