Neil Patrick Harris and husband David Burtka have opened up their home for a shoot with Hamptons magazine.
How I Met Your Mother star Neil and fellow actor David also gave an interview to the publication.
The guys are the lead feature in the magazine’s Home & Garden’ issue.
Speaking of his Hamptons home, Neil says in the interview: ‘I really like getting to declare that you want to go somewhere to relax. I rarely go there wanting to play and do a lot of formal things. I’m there to chill.’
Meanwhile chef David, who is gearing up to release his first cookbook Life Is a Party and is, along with Neil, a dad to David twins Harper and Gideon, opened up about fishing trips with his son.
‘Our son loves fishing, so we always tend to go off to Montauk. Last year, we caught a striped bass, and literally just cut it up there. Olive oil, leonine, salt, and [Gideon] goes to town.’
Hampton describes the guys’ place as a 13.5-acre, four-bedroom East Hampton estate, with a ‘pool, pool house, tennis court, rooftop hot tub, gazebo and garden.’
Speaking about when he first met Neil in 2003, David reveals their relationship almost didn’t happen.
‘Honestly, when I met him, I sort of blew him off. I was in a relationship, and he was doing Cabaret, so he had jet-blue-black hair… I wan’t really thinking much.’
David has appeared on American Horror Story and How I Met Your Mother. He has also served as a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Meanwhile Neil’s screen roles include Gone Girl, The Smurfs, plus the classic 90s sci-fi Starship Troopers. He currently acts in Netflix’s show A Series of Unfortunate Events.
