LGBTI celebrities are taking to the streets and social media to show their support to the #MarchForOurLives campaign and demand gun reform laws in the US.

Students led nationwide rallies yesterday (24 March) in light of the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting last month. 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz stormed the school in Parkland, then shot and killed 17 people.

A sea change began, with students leading calls to demand sensible gun reform.

The students started the ‘March For Our Lives’ campaign ‘to take action to stop the epidemic of mass school shootings,’ according to the official website.

In over 800 locations across the US, hundreds of thousands of people marched to show their support for the campaign.

LGBTI celebrities also took to Twitter to send their messages of support.

Among them were Dustin Lance Black, Lady Gaga, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Sarah Paulson, Melissa Etheridge, Ellen DeGeneres, Janet Mock and Cher.
