Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black threw the cutest surprise baby shower yesterday (21 April).
The Olympic diver and his director husband announced they were having a baby boy in February this year.
Born by a surrogate, the gay couple expect the baby around August to October this year.
The couple posed with baby bottles and ‘Oh baby’ sunglasses, while wearing ‘Daddy to be’ sashes.
Daley posted a series of photos to his Instagram story, including a baby doll sitting under a tap. He also showcased rainbow fruit skewers and a huge table filled with sweet treats.
Then a video of his husband holding two sparklers and dancing around the room.
Dustin posted a cute snap of the couple holding each other and posing in front of the huge table of food.
He captioned the photo: ‘DADS to be. #BabyShower’
Tom Daley: ‘Having a child changes your perspective on so many things’
Speaking to Nick Robinson on the BBC’s Andrew Marr show this morning (22 April), Daley said he was so excited to be a father.
He said: ‘We’ve been working on the nursery, we’ve been reading all of the books… and I think I’ve been watching too much One Born Every Minute so I’m a little bit nervous about what’s going to happen. But my husband and I are just so excited.
‘There’s something about having a baby brought into the family that really brings everyone together,’ he added.
He also added: ‘I think having a child changes your perspective on so many things.’
Daley continued: ‘First of all, you want your child to have an equal opportunity to everyone else. Whether you’re gay, straight, male, female… whatever religion you are, ethnicity – everyone should have the equal opportunity to do the best that they can.’
