Olympic medal winning diving champ Tom Daley and drag queen Willam have hit the pool together.

In videos that they both posted to their respective YouTube channels yesterday, Daley introduces Willam to the 10 meter diving board.

It’s not the first time that Daley has taught others how to dive. He coached several celebrities in the art of diving on two seasons of his show Splash on ITV. However, this is the first time he’s jumped with a drag queen.

In the water with Willam

Willam wears a latex swimsuit and wig attachments for her first jump – but it immediately becomes clear that her hairpiece is not practical. As Tom points out, when you jump from a 10m board, you can reach a speed of 35 miles per hour by the time you hit the water. Willam’s ponytail immediately gets separated from her head!

For follow-up dives, Willam ditches the hair extensions and just sticks to her fetching, floral swim cap.

Willam, best known for her appearance on the fourth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race and her part in the drag group DWV (“This Boy is a Bottom’), never actually manages to dive. Instead, she opts for what many would simply call a jump. Nevertheless, she appears to have fun, even if the jumps continue to take their toll on her make-up.
