Troye Sivan just surprised Taylor Swift by coming to her show at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California last night (19 May).

Swift surprised fans with a special duet between Shawn Mendes on Friday night, then took Troye on stage a night after.

Sivan took to his Instagram story to explain how it all went down.

He said in a video: ‘I asked Taylor Swift tickets for her show in LA and she’s like “Well actually, why don’t you come out and sing My My My with me tonight on the stage at the Rose Bowl in front of 60,000 people?”‘

Taylor Swift: ‘Troye Sivan is here tonight!’

He then posts a series of videos to his story documenting the journey to the gig, meeting Taylor Swift and then backstage as he made his surprise entrance.

Sivan said in a video: ‘Just finished sound check. Life is crazy. I’m in my Reputation merch. Yeah, wild – thank you for having me Taylor, I’m so excited for tonight.’

When introducing Sivan to the stage, Swift says: ‘He’s so epic and is so destined to be legendary – in my mind he already completely is. Troye Sivan is here tonight!’

That’s when he’s lifted up through the bottom of the stage and the two perform Sivan’s single My My My on stage together.

Then after the song, Swift reveals the title and release date of Sivan’s new album.

It’s called Bloom – having just released a song by the same name – and is coming out 31 August.

Troye Sivan the single Bloom is about bottoming during gay sex.

Elton John also recently interviewed the Aussie pop prince for Out Magazine.

In the chat, Elton asks Troye: ‘Let me ask you something naughty. When you are performing and there are cute boys in the audience, do you ever get tempted?’

To which Troye replies: ‘I don’t, actually. I’ve never been very adventurous in that way. I just take it easy. I think I’m just a relationship person.’
