Donald Trump has revealed he has a very complicated with Elton John.
It has appeared to have begun with his attempt at friendship with murderous North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un.
Trump traveled to Singapore for a summit with the dictator. Despite receiving no verifiable assurances North Korea will get rid of its nuclear weapons, he stood side by side with Kim. Trump also agreed to cease military exercises on the Korean peninsula.
In the weeks since then, multiple independent watchdogs have reported North Korea is actually building up its nuclear facility.
But that hasn’t stopped Trump.
Gift for Kim Jong-Un
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo arrived in North Korea yesterday for another high-profile meeting.
He brought along a gift from Trump to Kim in the form of a CD copy of Elton John’s Rocket Man.
A diplomatic source said the CD was the subject of discussion during Trump’s lunch with the dictator. Trump referred to him as ‘little rocket man’, after a series of nuclear tests and missile launches by North Korea.
The source said: ‘Trump then asked Kim if he knew the song and Kim said no.’
Trump told Pompeo to take the CD with the song for Kim. He reportedly wrote a message on it and signed it.
The same day, Trump held a rally in Montana. He rambled for an hour, and included Elton John in his rant.
Trump goes on nonsensical rant about Elton John
The nonsensical speech went: ‘I have broken more Elton John records, he seems to have a lot of records.
‘And I, by the way, I don’t have a musical instrument. I don’t have a guitar or an organ. No organ. Elton has an organ. And lots of other people helping.
‘No we’ve broken a lot of records. We’ve broken virtually every record.
‘Because you know, look I only need this space. They need much more room.
‘For basketball, for hockey and all of the sports, they need a lot of room. We don’t need it.
‘We have people in that space. So we break all of these records. Really we do it without like, the musical instruments.
‘This is the only musical: the mouth. And hopefully the brain attached to the mouth.
‘Right? The brain, more important than the mouth, is the brain. The brain is much more important.’
