Lucian Wintrich, the gay man behind the ‘Twinks 4 Trump’ campaign, has lost his job not long after appearing on a podcast hosted by a white supremacist.
He also lost his White House press credentials.
Wintrich wrote for the right-wing blog Gatway Pundit before his firing. Head of the blog, Jim Hoft, claimed the decision had been in the works for weeks. The announcement, however, came right after Wintrich’s appearance on the podcast.
Hoft tweeted about Wintrich’s departure, wishing him ‘the best of luck and blessings on his next endeavor’.

Wintrich appeared on Nicholas Fuentes’ podcast. Fuentes is a white nationalist who marched in last year’s Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Meanwhile, Wintrich told The Daily Beast he left to work on ‘two independent media projects’. He also included a link to the Lynyrd Skynyrd song Free Bird in his comments.
A real mature response
The Daily Beast further revealed in a Periscope on Sunday (12 August) night, Wintrich filmed himself preparing to cook lobsters. He named the lobsters Alexander Soros, the son of liberal financier George Soros, and Jared Holt, a Right Wing Watch researcher.
Holt noticed Wintrich’s appearance on Fuentes’ podcast.
‘They save all their pinching, all their snipping for social media,’ Wintrich said in the livestream. He put the lobster named Hold in boiling water first. ‘We’re going to introduce him to reality there, we’ll see how he takes it.’
Twinks 4 Trump was a photo campaign Wintrich began. It consisted of naked or shirtless skinny young men wearing Make America Great Again hats.
