(Washington, DC) — The U.S. State Department is issuing a worldwide threat over violence against the LGBTQ community.
As Pride Month approaches, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said members of the gay community “continue to face insidious forms of stigma and discrimination.”
The department advises U.S. citizens overseas to “exercise increased caution” because of the potential for foreign terrorist organization-inspired violence against LGBTQ people and events.
