The Davis Police Department is searching for a man accused of stealing an LGBTQ+ pride flag from a home at night before fleeing.
Video cameras caught a man approaching the residence 8 p.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of L Street, according to police. The man, wearing a black mask, jumps and tugs on the flag four times before running to a getaway car.
The white car, with its passenger door open, begins to leave as the man runs to the car. A driver speeds away as the suspect closes the door, according to a video provided by police.
The man was wearing a black sweatshirt and gray shorts.
