Visit Austin announced in November the launch of Open ATX for Transgender Awareness Week . Open ATX is an initiative in support of the transgender community in Austin.
“At Visit Austin, we will continue to promote the inclusive nature of our city,” said Tom Noonan, President and CEO of Visit Austin. “Along with local businesses in our community, Visit Austin is a proud ally to the transgender and non-binary community. We are committed to making everyone feel welcome during their visit.”
As Visit Austin launches the Open ATX website during Transgender Awareness Week (Nov. 12-19), Visit Austin along with other local businesses in Austin will be sharing photos of their restrooms, the Open ATX website, community resources, and a message of support for the transgender and non-binary community to social platforms.
