The Queer Eye guys are Down Under to makeover an Australian man and were even given the title ‘Yass Queens’.

Social media was set on fire yesterday when the rumor mill went into overdrive that the stars of the hit makeover reality show were heading to the country town of Yass.

Yass is located about 60km (37 miles) away from the Australian capital, Canberra.

Suspicions were confirmed when locals started sharing photos of stars, Antoni Porowski, Tan France, Karomo Brown, Jonathan Van Ness and Bobby Berk around the town.

It turns out the Queer Eye guys were in town to make over local farmer, George.

Yass Queens

The locals were so excited to have the boys in town that Yass Mayor, Rowena Abbey, made the men official queens of Yass.

‘I just wanted to welcome you, I’m the mayor of Yass,’ Abbey tells the Queer Eye team in an adorable video.

Before she could offer the guys their official Yass Queen tiaras, Karamo, wants to take Abbey’s official mayoral chain because he says he ‘could rock the hell outta that’.

‘The bling is mine,’ Abbey replies quickly, to which the Queer Eye guys respond with cheers.

She then places tiaras on their heads and anoints them ‘Yass Queens’.

George the former rodeo cowboy

The Queer Eye guys came to Yass to makeover 54-year-old farmer and former bull rider, George.

His son Levi nominated George, who said he didn’t know what to expect from the Queer Eye guys.

‘I feel great,’ George told the Guardian.

‘I didn’t really know what to expect because I didn’t know anything about the show … But it was a mind-changing day for me. Especially when we were talking about family, and quality time.

The TV stars took George to a spa treatment, gave him a haircut and took him shopping for new clothes at a local shop. In the meantime, food guy, Antoni and interior design guy, Bobby also gave a local pub a trendy makeover. They renovated the bistro and Antoni introduced a new signature dish to the menu, which we bet has avocados in it

Netflix will release the special Aussie mini-makeover on its social media accounts on June 22. That’s one week after the global launch of Queer Eye season two on Netflix.
