Emmy award-winning Eric McCormack is to get his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

News of the honor for the Will & Grace star was first tweeted by Ana Martinez. She’s Vice President of Media Relations for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and Hollywood Walk of Fame Producer.

‘Where there’s a WILL there’s a way! Actor @EricMcCormack will be honored with his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on September 13th! His star will be next to his acting partner in crime Debra Messing!’

McCormack shot to fame opposite Messing in the hit sitcom Will & Grace. The show ran for eight seasons between 1998-2006.

It returned last year for a ninth season, which proved a critical and ratings hit. A tenth season is currently in production.

McCormack later retweeted a new story about his impending star, simply saying: ‘Very happy to be walked all over!’

McCormack also tweeted a photo from the set of Will & Grace, where he and co-star Sean Hayes are shooting a new episode with guest stars Adam Rippon and Matt Bomer.

McCormack has won several awards for his role on Will & Grace. These include an Emmy, Screen Actors Guild Award and GLAAD Media Award. He also currently stars in the Netflix sci-fi show, Travelers.
