Grindr has responded to an alt-right journalist who took to Twitter to complain about the dating app after they banned him for transphobia.
Earlier this week, Chadwick Moore posted a Twitter thread about the app. After he answered the profile question about gender with ‘there are only 2’, Grindr suspended his profile.
Moore also tagged the FBI when he levvied a variety of accusations against the app including prostitution and illegal drug activity.
Now they have a comeback for Moore’s various comments.
On Tuesday (24 July), they tweeted out a brand-new limited edition t-shirt. What does the shirt say? ‘Grindr is a construct.’

Making it even sweeter, all proceeds are going to the National Center for Transgender Equality.
The shirt is available until 30 July here.
As the t-shirt’s description reads: ‘Grindr has created this t-shirt to remind people that all gender identities and pronouns are welcome on our platform… because the future is fluid. #postmodernism’
Plenty of people had positive support for the move.
