Singer Katy Perry swung by Glamour recently to watch fans perform covers of her songs.

It’s part of a series Glamour’s been doing. Previously, both Pink and Demi Lovato have appeared for the segment.

In the video, she watches and reacts to fans singing songs like Unconditionally, Last Friday Night, and more.

At the 8:23 mark, Ramona Rox takes on Perry’s 2008 single I Kissed A Girl.

Times have changed

Perry’s first reaction to the acoustic cover is being impressed. She says Rox has good vocal texture and with a name like Ramona, it’s a full package.

Then she addresses the song itself.

‘I think we’ve really changed, conversationally, in the past 10 years. We’ve come a long way,’ she comments. ‘Bisexuality wasn’t as talked about back then, or any type of fluidity.’

In 10 years, she notes, a lot can change, including a person’s mind.

‘If I had to write that song again, I probably would make an edit on it. Lyrically, it has a couple stereotypes in it.’
