Drag Queen Ada Vox was officially eliminated from American Idol at the conclusion of Disney week.

She gave a stunning performance to finish out her experience on the singing competition series, which ABC recently revived.

So what was her final song? None other than the epic classic Circle of Life from 1994’s The Lion King.

And just look at that dress, complete with a sheer cape. Talk about taking a final bow.

Her journey

Vox first auditioned for the show in 2013 as Adam Sanders. Unfortunately, the judges rejected him.

Five years later, for ABC’s revival, Sanders returned, but this time as his drag alter-ego, Ada Vox. Vox wowed the judges and made it onto the show.

Then, last week, the audience voted Vox out. But the judges wanted none of that.

After Vox sang one more time for a second chance, the judges granted her that and made an ‘executive decision’ to send her to the top 10.

This time, though, they weren’t able to save her.

‘That’s the tea’

Though the voters spoke, many people took to Twitter to rage about Vox’s elimination. A lot of them think her elimination was due to the fact that she’s a drag queen.

Bob the Drag Queen also complimented Vox on her Idol run and the stellar performances she gave.
