Andrew Garfield has said he is open to having sex with another man.
The Amazing Spider-Man star sparked controversy last year when he said he was “a gay man right now just without the physical act”.
In the same week, Garfield, who is set to reprise his role as Prior Walter in Angels in America on Broadway this spring, also said he wouldn’t rule out having a relationship with a man in the future.

And he has opened up about his sexuality again.
Speaking to Out Magazine, Garfield said: “Up until this point, I’ve only been sexually attracted to women.
“My stance towards life, though, is that I always try to surrender to the mystery of not being in charge.

“I think most people – we’re intrinsically trying to control our experience here, and manage it, and put walls around what we are and who we are,” he continued.
“I want to know as much of the garden as possible before I pass – I have an openness to any impulses that may arise within me at any time.”
He clarified that as far as he is currently aware, he is still straight.

“But, if I were to identify, I would identify as heterosexual,” said Garfield.
And, speaking about his part in Angels in America, he said that, “being someone who identifies that way, and who’s taking on this seminal role, my scariest thought was: ‘Am I allowed to do this?’”
Addressing the comments he made last year, Garfield explained: “I think part of what I was trying to say was about inclusion, and about that openness to my impulses.”

In 2015, Garfield called for a pansexual Spider-Man.
He also couldn’t stop kissing men earlier this year, including Ryan Reynolds.

He was later asked about the kiss while appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and ended up kissing him too.
Garfield joked: “I just wanted Ryan to know that I loved him no matter if he won or lost.
“I wanted him to know it’s how you play the game, it doesn’t matter, he showed up and gave it all and it doesn’t change anything in my heart. I just wanted him to know I love him very much.”
