Andy Cohen has talked about his open and ‘unapologetic’ attitude to life and sex, admitting: ‘I’m pretty uncensored.’

‘I talk about poppers and about bottoms on my show,’ he adds in a new interview. ‘That’s the thing, I’m really open about who I am and am unapologetic, so I think there’s something freeing in that…’

He furthermore adds in his new cover feature with Attitude: ‘I was always out in my career so there was a freedom to that, and I’ve always been outspoken, and gay people say they connect with that and it makes me happy, too.’

‘I came out in 1988’

Moreover, the chat show king, 50, explains things haven’t always been this way – admitting 30 years ago, he was ‘scared’ of sex.

‘I came out in 1988, at the height of the [AIDS] epidemic,’ he says. ‘I was so scared to have sex. And it’s why I’m alive today, because I was really scared.’

He also added: ‘It was a scary time to be gay, it was a scary time to be sexual… It’s always kind of there in one way or another. It’s not something you can erase from your experience.’

Cher is another star appearing on this month’s cover of the magazine. In the accompanying interview, the Believe singer admits she still hasn’t seen her new movie Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.
