Boxer Nicola Adams is the latest addition to Madame Tussauds in the seaside coastal town of Blackpool, north England.
The visitor attraction unveiled the lifelike figurine today. The figure bears Adams’ trademark lioness tattoo.
Nicola Adams, 35, is the first woman ever to win a gold medal in boxing. She achieved this landmark when women competed in Olympic boxing for the first time in 2012.
Adams took gold in the women’s flyweight division at the London Games. She repeated the feat in the 2016 games in Brazil. In the Queen’s New Year Honors list in 2016, Adams received an OBE (Order of the British Empire).
Adams came out to her mum as bisexual as a teenager. She told the Evening Standard a couple of years ago that she felt her sexuality had never impacted her career. Earlier this year, she split from fellow female boxer Marlen Esparza, after dating for two years.

‘Outstanding’
Revealing the figure, General Manager, Matthew Titherington, said, ‘I’m thrilled we can bring Nicola’s wax figure to the attraction.
‘What she’s achieved in the sport is outstanding.’

This is not the first time Adams has been turned into figurine. Earlier this year, Mattel created a boxer Barbie version of Adams to coincide with International Women’s Day.
