Oktoberfest is coming to London
When you think about Oktoberfest, Beer and live bands are pretty much a perfect combination already.
But if you add drag queens to that mix, you’re in for an incredible night out.
The UK’s only LGBTI Pink Oktoberfest is returning to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park next month.
Borrowing from the best of Bavaria, expect the usual German beers and food.
But as well as oompah bands and lederhosen, there will be drag kings and queens performing inside the huge Bierhaus.
So you don’t need to travel all the way to Munich to get a little taste of bratwurst.
Founder of Pink Oktoberfest, Rebecca Paisis said: ‘Hosting the event at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is going to be epic.
‘As we head in to Autumn, we’re gearing up for the biggest LGBT+ Oktoberfest the UK has ever seen.
‘We’re going to mix that authentic Oktoberfest atmosphere with an LGBT+ twist so expect drag acts alongside German oompah bands and more glitter than you can shake a pretzel at!’
Pink Oktoberfest is a special themed event as part of the German managed erdinger Oktoberfest season and ran for the first time in 2017.
It will take place on 7 October from 4 to 11pm.
