British Olympic diver, Tom Daley, and husband, Dustin Lance Black, have shared the first pictures of their son, Robert Ray Black-Daley, on Twitter.
The black and white image shows baby Robert, named after Daley’s late father, cradled in the hands of his doting parents.
Daley and Black can be seen holding hands to protect little Robert. Both parents can be seen smiling down on their baby boy.
As reported by Gay Star News, the Black-Daley’s announced the birth on Saturday. Little Robert was born a few days ago on 27 June via a surrogate in the US.
Baby Robert nicknamed ‘Robbie’
Baby Robert has already had his name affectionately shortened to ‘Robbie’ by dad Lance, when he shared the black and white photo on Twitter.
‘Welcome to the world little Robbie Ray. Thank you for bringing so much love and light with you’, Black wrote alongside the photo on his Twitter account.
‘And thank you to those who helped make our dream of having a family into this wonderful reality.’
Film producer Black and Olympic champion diver Daley welcomed their little boy just as LGBTI Pride month is being celebrated around the world.
The couple have received hundreds of messages of congratulations from fans on becoming first time parents.
