It’s National Puppy Day aka one of the best day’s of the year!

And one of our very favorite people — Gus Kenworthy — is celebrating in the best way — with his newly adopted pup, Beemo.

The Olympic skiier posted a photo of himself holding her on Instagram today, along with a sweet and sentimental caption.

‘Beemo Est. 2018! Happy #NationalPuppyDay everybody!’ Kenworthy wrote.

‘This little girl has already made my life so much better! If you’re considering adding an animal to your family I encourage you to do it but PLEASE #adoptdontshop!’

Plus, Beemo already has her own Instagram page because of course she does. She’s definitely adorable enough for it.

An Olympic friend

Kenworthy adopted Beemo in South Korea during the Winter Olympics just last month.

He also took the opportunity to talk about dog farms in the country and the mistreatment of animals.

‘There is an argument to be made that eating dogs is a part of Korean culture. And, while [I] don’t personally agree with it, I do agree that it’s not my place to impose western ideals on the people here,’ he wrote. ‘The way these animals are being treated, however, is completely inhumane and culture should never be a scapegoat for cruelty.’

On Beemo’s Instagram, there’s another post for the day.

‘Him [Kenworthy]: Happy #NationalPuppyDay Beemo! I love you so much!

‘Me [Beemo]: K so you’re kinda getting clingy and it’s freaking me out. We haven’t even been together for a month yet… STOP SMOTHERING ME!’
