The Labour Party Councillor has made multiple homophobic comments online

The Labour party has suspended one of their councilors after she made multiple homophobic comments online.

Chika Amadi is a councilor for the London Borough of Harrow and a pastor. Her husband is also a pastor.

She has referred to Prides as events for ‘pedophiles’ and threatened people who challenged her remarks.

A Labour party spokesperson said: ‘Chika Amadi has been suspended from the Labour Party pending an investigation.’

One Twitter user pointed out her homophobia.

She responded with: ‘Evil. If you dare walk naked in front of my child God will give you terrible assignment that will put you to perpetual sleep. Be warned.’

Homophobic posts on her Facebook and Twitter date back to 2010.

LGBT Labour call for immediate suspension

The LGBT Labour group have responded to the Amadi’s comments and called for a her immediate suspension.

Sachin Shah is the Labour Leader of Harrow Council.  He said to PinkNews: ‘As Leader of the Harrow Labour Group, I take any complaints of homophobia very seriously. All comments will be fully investigated.’
