The day is geared at promoting wellness and building self-esteem for the participants. They are going shopping will help people find clothes to match their gender identities, while the meditation will help them focus on self-care.

Four of the spots will cost US$250, while the final two are reserved for Trans Wellness Center members.

‘As a recent LA transplant from the Big Apple, I’ve found an overwhelming calmness in my new home and focused my energy into channeling being fabulous both inside and out,’ Cox says in the experience description.

‘Wellness is super important to me and I want to show you how it has helped me find my happy place here in LA!’

Cox wants to take the travelers to the brand new Los Angeles Trans Wellness Center. There she wants them to meet members of the community.

She also wants them to have some fun learning about the incredible work the Trans Wellness Center is doing for the local community.

‘At the end of the day, the LA sun won’t be the only thing shining!’ Cox says.

Trans Wellness Center

The Trans Wellness Center opened in April this year. It provides comprehensive resources and services for transgender and non-binary people under one roof.

The 3,000-square-foot center is the first of its kind in the United States. Six local organizations joined forces to create the new home for wellness.

‘For the first time in the history of the transgender movement, trans and non-binary individuals finally have a safe, friendly, and non-judgmental area where they can find a wide range of vital services under one roof created by—and for—the community,’ said center program manager Program Manager Mariana Marroquin.
