Annual LGBT Event Attracts a Global Following ‘Camp’ Camp, America’s premier summer camp for LGBT adults is entering its third decade of operation in southwestern Maine this August 20 – 27th. As many as 75% of the Campers are return guests for several years, but many more are now coming not just from the U.S. but from other parts of the world. They recognize that ‘Camp’
Camp is a unique opportunity for the LGBTQ community to freely express their true selves surrounded by gorgeous surroundings and supported by a welcoming community.
The all-inclusive price of $1675 includes a full schedule of fun and challenging summer camp activities ranging from hiking and canoeing to volleyball, kickball, pottery, cooking, and figure drawing as well as entertaining evening social events, along with three fresh, restaurantquality delicious meals prepared by our on-staff chef. Lodging is in rustic pine cabins adjacent to a lake and visitors are ferried from the Portland International Jetport or other Portland, Maine transportation stations by complimentary shuttle.
Owner/Director Kerry Riffle says, “The participants now signed up for this summer’s session of Camp are coming from 31 States, two Canadian provinces, and the U.K. It is one of the most diverse groups in our now 21-year history. And there is room for more.”
