Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton and Jane Fonda will reunite for a 9 To 5 sequel, it has been revealed.
Oscar-winner Jane will furthermore serve as executive producer, the star has said.
Commenting on the news, iconic singer Dolly, 72, told The Mirror: ‘Personally, I’ve been waiting for a 9 to 5 reunion ever since we did the first one!’
Monster-in-Law actress Jane revealed the news at a Television Critics Association press event this week.
‘I’m working with the writers’
‘My role is as an executive producer, and I’m working with the writers, with Lily, and talking to the writers,’ Fonda told reporters.
‘Right now, Dolly, Lily and I are all intending to be in it,’ she furthermore added.
The showbiz veterans appeared in the first film about three working women almost 38 years ago.

Jane has won the Academy award for Best Actress twice: for 1972’s Klute and 1979’s Coming Home. In 1976’s, Lily was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Nashville.
Actress-singer Dolly, meanwhile, is the recipient of 11 Grammy Awards.
More recently, in 2015, openly gay Lily received critical acclaim for her role as an older lesbian woman Elle in the movie Grandma.
Lily, 78 and Jane, 80, have also acted together in the hit Netflix series Grace and Frankie.

Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that there is to be a Netflix show based on I Will Always Love You singer Dolly’s songs
