Saturday Night Live cast member Leslie Jones has recently become a big fan of RuPaul’s Drag Race — and we are here for it.
It’s thanks to her and her live-tweeting of the show that Willam finally spilled the tea on that shocking disqualification.
Recently, Jones was on Access Hollywood to talk SNL, Drag Race, and more. Unbeknownst to her, the hosts of Access had a surprise up their sleeves. In the midst of the interview, they told Jones they had a message from a ‘friend’.
That’s when a video of Ru popped up, praising Jones’ social media and inviting her to be a guest on Drag Race.
Mama Ru came through and made @Lesdoggg‘s @RuPaulsDragRace dream come true! 👑 We surprised Leslie with a surprise message from @RuPaul and her reaction was EVERYTHING pic.twitter.com/RBZmCnQ8xg

Come through, Ru!
Jones’ reaction is everything — she never responds with anything but her full spectrum of emotions and it’s great.
Ru extending an invitation to Jones is not like how Jones became an Olympics correspondent for NBC.
In 2016, Jones enthusiastically live-tweeted the Summer Olympics in Rio, Brazil. As more and more people took notice, NBC invited her to join them in Rio. Naturally, she agreed and flew down to Brazil.
This past February, she assumed the role again for the PyeongChang Winter Olympics. She even did some commentary with everyone’s favorite skater, Adam Rippon.
If Jones brings even a semblance of her Twitter enthusiasm as a Drag Race judge, it’s going to be one of the best episodes.
Season 10 of Drag Race ended in June, and not long after, VH1 renewed the series for an eleventh season.
