British actor, Tom Holland, may have lost himself a few fans recently after he hilariously trips over a question about RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Holland has been on the press circuit promoting The Avengers: Infinity War where he reprises his popular role as Spiderman.

The actor was in an interview alongside fellow Brit, Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays Doctor Strange in the Marvel movie, when he was asked about the reality drag queen show.

The interviewer from Absolute Radio was asking the duo questions in the game segment Showbiz Scenarios.

‘Who would win RuPaul’s Drag Race? Tom Hiddelston, Bradley Cooper, or Robert Downey Jr.?,’ the interviewer asked.

To which Holland replied: ‘I think Downey would win at Drag Race because he has the fastest cars.’

An amused Cumberbatch quickly corrected his young co-star: ‘Aaaah…it’s not that kind of Drag Race.’

‘RuPaul, man,’ Cumberbatch said to Holland.

Holland took a second and then exclaimed: ‘oh yes, I do know what that is!’

But it was too late, he demonstrated he was not up to date with his ‘herstory’.

Cumberbatch eventually answered the question saying Tom Hiddleston would because ‘she can dress up pretty mighty fine’.

It’s a pretty good response given Hiddleston’s character Loki, is canonically considered genderfluid.

Holland was on Lip Sync Battle

Many people on Twitter pointed out that Holland should probably know more about Drag Race considering he appeared on Lip Sync Battle, dressed as Rihanna.

RuPaul himself famously accused Lip Sync Battle of ‘ripping off’ Drag Race.

‘Regular, straight pop culture has liberally lifted things from gay culture as long as I can remember,’ he said in 2016.

‘It’s a poor rip off of our show. That’s fine, because guess what? We have so much more where that comes from. Take it!’

But we have to hand it to Holland, he might not know his herstory, but he certainly can pull off a mean lip sync.
