Ariana Grande’s video for new single God is a Woman features the voice of Madonna as god.
She dropped the clip yesterday, but fans didn’t immediately recognize the icon reciting a Bible passage towards the end.
Material Girl singer Madonna puts a spin on Ezekiel 25:17 – the same passage famously read by Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction.

Switching the word ‘brothers’ for ‘sisters’, Madonna says: ‘And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger, those who attempt to poison and destroy my sisters, and you will know my name is the Lord, when I lay my vengeance upon you…’
Madonna has a history of using religion themes in her work, most famously in the iconic video for her single Like A Prayer. She also appeared on a crucifix during her 2006 Confessions Tour.
