Tom Daley has discussed how finding out he is going to be a father has ‘changed’ him.

The husband of Dustin Lance Black said in an interview with The Times: ‘Even flying out on the plane I am normally fine with turbulence and just fall asleep, but now I’m thinking, “It’s not just me.”’

‘Diving is no longer my No.1.’

He furthermore added: ‘Holy crap. I have to worry about looking after a human being and being in charge of making sure they survive and thrive. Diving is no longer my No.1. My child is No.1 and diving is No.2 and, for me, that order might help.

‘All of a sudden coming to training is no longer my crazy, chaotic time; it’s the quiet time without a screaming, pooping child.’

Speaking about the hate he and Dustin have received from online trolls since revealing the news, Tom added: ‘I don’t care if they don’t like it. It took me a long time to get to that place but I am here. I think, “Whatever.”‘

Last month, Tom and Dustin revealed they were expecting a baby boy on Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast.

Meanwhile, in a recent Gay Star News interview, Dustin Lance Black spoke out against Hollywood agents who advise their clients to stay in the closet.
