Jessica Lange will be making her return to FX’s American Horror Story (AHS) for the upcoming eighth season.

Lange played prominent roles on the first four seasons of the show. For her roles in the show, she was nominated for four Emmys and awarded two of them. Since leaving AHS, Lange has gone on to work with Ryan Murphy on another show, Feud.

According to Variety, fellow AHS cast mate Sarah Paulson announced Lange’s return to the show during a summer press tour.

Lange will be reviving her role from season one, Constance Langdon.

Season eight’s theme has been announced as Apocalypse. This season will be a crossover with season one, Murder House, and season three, Coven.

Ahead of the season eight premiere, it was also announced that the show will be renewed for a ninth and tenth season.

Season eight will feature AHS favorites Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters. Kathy Bates, who first appeared on the show in season three, will lead the season. Additionally, Assassination of Gianni Versace breakout actor Cody Fern is also joining the show, in the role of Michael Langdon.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse premieres on 12 September on the FX Network.
