Goat Parties for Equality on Two Coasts!

Written by gaytourism

Equality Federation staff will hold parties featuring live goats on both coasts this spring, and anyone who contributes to the organization’s Give OUT Day efforts will be added to the guest lists. Give OUT Day, held on April 19th, is a national day of giving for LGBTQ organizations raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for the movement.

In Western Massachusetts, Fran Hutchins, Deputy Director, will hold a baby goat party at Sage Meadows Farm, and this party will also feature snacks like goat cheese and drinks courtesy of Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Donations can be made at

“Baby goats are so cute, how could anyone say no to this party for equality?,” said Fran Hutchins whose goat party already has hundreds of RSVPS, “But in all seriousness, this is one of the most important moments in our lifetimes to support our LGBTQ resistance so that we can continue to strengthen the movement and win equality in every community we call home.”

In San Francisco, Mark Snyder, Director of Communications, will host their 7th BIG LGBTQ MIXER, this time featuring live goats (treats provided) outside of popular drag club Oasis. Previous mixers have garnered hundreds of attendees eager to meet new employers, friends, and dates. Donations can be made at

“I actually had a pet goat when I was a kid and he was a total joy,” said Snyder, “Everyone loves goats and a good party for a great cause. I’m thrilled that we were able to work everything out with Heklina of Oasis and City Grazing so that both the goats and people will be pampered throughout the party.”
